1) Are you registered with Ofsted?
Yes, Melanie is a fully qualified and registered childminder. As well as having a degree in Early Years Education and being a Primary School Teacher (with qualified Teacher Status). Melanie also has a diploma in Nursery Nursing.
2) Do you offer a standard child-minding service?
Yes and no. Our aim is to provide support to as many families that need our service for whatever reason, so whilst we do offer the same regular hours to some children we do try and leave slots available for those parents that need ad-hoc care.
There are however certain requirements that we have to legally meet, and we will ensure that all activities provided by us are age appropriate and follow the EYFS where applicable. We also have a variety of policies and procedures in place as would any childminder.
We also have Public Liability Insurance in place.
3) Are you part of the Government scheme to give children 30 hour's free childcare?
We can also receive payment through various employement voucher schemes as well as the government tax free childcare option.
4) What is the minimum amount of time I can leave my child with you?
We offer one hour slots, on the hour. We do this so we can manage and plan to ensure we do not exceed the allowed adult to child ratios stipulated by Ofsted. Meaning we will not exceed having 6 children in our care at any one time.
5) What do I need to do if I want to send my child toThe Wholeway House?
Firstly we ask that you attend an Admission Meeting with us, this allows you to meet us and for your children to meet us too. There will be a few forms for you to sign which is part of a legal process we have to follow. Once you're registered with us you can simply check availability here for the day and time you want. If there is availability simply email us through the contact us page or give us a call and book your space over the phone.
6) What does it cost to send my child to The Wholeway House?
We charge £6.00 per hour. Payment can be made via cash on the day or via bank transfer.
7) Do you follow the standard school term dates?
We offer cover for term time only. Please check our diary for availability.
