1) Are you registered with Ofsted?
Yes, Melanie is a fully qualified and registered childminder. As well as having a degree in Early Years Education and being a Primary School Teacher (with qualified Teacher Status). Melanie also has a diploma in Nursery Nursing.
2) Do you offer a standard child-minding service?
Yes and no, we do not offer the same hours and days to the same children week in week out. So we are not their primary childminder. Our aim is to provide support to as many families that need our service for whatever reason.
There are however certain requirements that we have to legally meet, and we will ensure that all activities provided by us are age appropriate and follow the EYFS where applicable. We also have a variety of policies and procedures in place as would any childminder.
We also have Public Liability Insurance in place.
3) Are you part of the Government scheme to give children 30 hour's free childcare?
Yes, we are able to reeceive payment this way, we do however ask that the differene between what is paid by the Governemnt and what we charge (£6.00 per hour) is made up via the parent or carer, this will be approximately £1.50 per hour.
We can also receive payment through the ComputerShare Vouchers Scheme.
Please remember we do not offer full time childminding to any one child. Our childcare is purely flexible to provide support to parents and/or carers as and when a situation arises or when you just need some time to yourself.
4) What is the minimum amount of time I can leave my child with you?
We offer one hour slots, on the hour. We do this so we can manage and plan to ensure we do not exceed the allowed adult to child ratios stipulated by Ofsted. Meaning we will not exceed having 6 children in our care at any one time.
5) What do I need to do if I want to send my child toThe Wholeway House?
Firstly we ask that you attend an Admission Meeting with us, this allows you to meet us and for your children to meet us too. There will be a few forms for you to sign which is part of a legal process we have to follow. Once you're registered with us you can simply check availability here for the day and time you want. If there is availability simply email us through the contact us page or give us a call and book your space over the phone.
6) What does it cost to send my child to The Wholeway House?
